This is a typical Vietnamese eatery. We were in a hurry to get back to Kansas City, but did not want to eat drive thru. The sever was extremely helpful, once she came around. I think we were sat by someone who was not a server and then he never mentioned that we were there. The food was hot and fast. I took the advice from Michael G. and it was an excellent decision. The pork banh mi was full of flavor. I love the crunch of the carrot with the tender, savory pork. The crusty bread was perfect as well. I sprung for the beef and onion pho. This was a great soup with tender beef and noodles. We did not see the cash only sign. This kind of chaps me. If you are a cash only establishment in 2010, make multiple large signs. Luckily we scavenged the bags and change holder in the car for enough money to pay. BRING CASH, EAT WELL! Oh, I ordered a small pho and banh mi. This is was too much. Their portions are rather large. This is never a bad thing unless you still have several hundred miles to go with no cooler.

Terrible pho. I'm here for work from New Orleans and hoped this place would cure my appetite for a hot bowl of pho like mom would have at home. I was wrong. The broth tasted funny and they put my rare beef in the microwave, so it came already cooked. If you're looking for a good place to eat, try the other place in town.

Food is so/so, environment is ok. but service is rather horrible. Empty restaurant and still have to wait a bit to be handed menus or served water (you have to ask for it). They don't come around as often to refill drinks. (Had to keep asking out of the 40 minutes or so being there) Had to walk up front to ask because they usually never walk up to you to see how you are doing. Waiter/server is NOT so friendly. Definitely need to step their game up. Although food is so/so they have a little nice selection to chose from and it's cheap. Make sure to check your tab to see if you are correctly charged. One time the lady (which is the owner) argued with me about pricing since and said "oh we didn't change price on menu yet" so she charged me way extra. Be careful.

Normally I can count on Yelp to lead me to the best restaurants. This is one case where I was slightly disappointed. A co-worker and I went here for lunch one day and I had the Pho. It was ok but not as delicious as the other Vietnamese restaurant in town. The beef was a little too fatty for me and had some gristle as well. Another red flag for me was that we were the only ones in the place for the entire lunch hour. Also some small details were off like the fact that they don't appear to clean up the condiment bottle spouts leaving the crusty junk on them. They also don't take credit cards which is a minor issue but could cause someone some issues here. All in all the food was ok but I wasn't thrilled by the whole experience.

Not the best I've ever had, but the closest I can get to a nice hot bowl of noodle soup in Sioux City. The food came quickly and was fresh. The prices were reasonable. I would recommend the beef noodle soup for starters and a Vietnamese sandwich to go with it. Finish off with a sweetened iced coffee. If you want to be daring and melt the ice off your bones, try the Bo Bun Hue. The restaurant is clean and spacious. This is a great place for a healthy, satisfying, and inexpensive meal. I enjoy going back here whenever I am in Sioux City. Good For: noodle soup, sandwiches

Amazing pho!

This established restaurant serves some of the most delicious Vietnamese (and other Asian) cuisine in the Siouxland area. I would highly recommend the Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup) and the Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwich). One thing though, they only take cash, so leave the plastic and checks at home.

Great food, great prices. Can't ask for anything more. Highly recommended. Lunch dishes even come in small or large portions.

I had the small pho #3 and an order of vegetable egg foo Yung with an iced cappuccino w/half & half. The food was excellent and I plan on becoming a regular. Also, the egg foo Yung came with three huge patties, a little too much gravy for my taste, but next time I'll know to ask for a little less. I spent under $20- with tip, but I like to eat.
